    Rachel is a LPC who has experience working with adults, children, adolescents, and families. She earned her Master of Arts degree from South University in Virginia Beach where she graduated with high honors and a member of the counseling honor society Chi Sigma Iota. She is also a member of American Counseling Association and is a National Certified Counselor and a Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor granted by the National Board of Certified Counselors. She began her experience in mental health working with adults providing mental health skill-building services. From there she transitioned to intensive in-home counseling as a mental health clinician where she works with children who are at risk for out-of-home placement due to severe behavioral concerns and provides family sessions in the home. Rachel also has experience conducting assessments for children and adults as a clinical supervisor for mental health skill-building and intensive in-home counseling services. She has experience leading groups for children and adolescents. She began and led a group at a local homeless shelter for adolescents and is currently a group leader for anger management working with children who exhibit severe anger.

    Ms. Cummings holds a Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and has experience working with children, adults, and families. She is a supervisor in the mental health field. She specializes in working with children and adolescents with behavioral problems and mood disorders (depression, bipolar disorder, disruptive mood dysregulation disorder) and their parents. She also works well with adults experiencing mood disorders and having difficulty in life transitions.

    Leah has over 18 years of counseling experience, working with children, adolescent, and adults. Leah has worked with children in residential treatment centers and psychiatric hospitals, at-risk youth who were committed to the juvenile justice system, children at risk for out of home placement, and adults in need of mental health skill building.

    Leah has supervisory experience, program coordination planning experience, experience conducting assessments, experience facilitating group counseling programs, experience mentoring youth, and experience conducting individual, couple, and family counseling.

    She specializes in working with children, adolescents and young adults who struggle with behavioral problems and conduct issues.

    Karen is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Virginia. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Education and a Master's of Arts Degree in Professional Counseling. She specializes in working with those struggling with grief and loss/bereavement issues. These may include anticipatory grief, perinatal loss, grief support over pet loss, and grief support for children, adolescents and adults. She has been in the mental health field since 2012 and has experience in various settings including outpatient, psychiatric hospitalizations, and community based inpatient substance abuse facilities. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor.

    Candice specializes in the treatment of co-occurring disorders (specifically substance use and mental health), addiction, mood disorders, anxiety, depression, grief, anger management, women issues, and adjustment disorders.

    She utilizes an eclectic approach to therapy, which includes cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, patient centered therapy, and solution-focused therapy to meet the client's specific needs.
