We have a variety of clinicians, able to provide services on weekdays, weekends and evenings for multiple challenges and issues that people may face. Individual and Family Counseling
Individual counseling is appropriate for anyone that is struggling to live their life in the way that he/she wants to. Struggles may range from situational issues to chronic struggles.
Initial Intake Assessment: $175 per session.
Individual Counseling Session: $150 per session (or as determined by health insurance).
Family counseling is appropriate for families that struggle to work together to achieve their goals.
Initial Intake Assessment: $175 per session.
Family Counseling Session: $165 per session (or as determined by health insurance).
Psychiatry and Medication Management
Have an assessment completed virtually to determine if medication is the right treatment for your individual needs and receive medication management to support your goals.

Play Therapy
Play Therapy is appropriate for children who are too young to be able to verbalize what is bothering them. Situations that may justify the need for play therapy are: exposure to trauma, exposure to domestic violence, tantrums, misbehaving, acting out, inability to focus, refusal to follow directions, etc.
Initial Intake Assessment: $175 per session.
Play Therapy Session: $150 per session (or as determined by health insurance).

Therapy Groups: Various therapy groups run on an as needed basis. Our current therapy groups are:
Women’s Support Group: Mondays, 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm (virtual)

Supervision Group: Dr. Preston-Josey offers supervision groups for residents who have their Master’s Degree in Counseling and are working toward becoming Licensed Professional Counselors in the state of Virginia. Please call or email to inquire about specific group dates and times.
Anger Management
Anger management counseling is offered for those who have difficulties controlling their anger. Anger management is beneficial by helping you to identify your triggers and develop skills that lead to better self-control. Anger management teaches alternate ways of handling stressful and challenging situations in a more effective way. These can be individual sessions or group counseling/classes.
Substance Abuse
If you are struggling with maintaining sobriety, Substance Abuse Counseling can offer you support to help you overcome substance dependency. We believe in your ability to achieve a fulfilling lifestyle without using drugs or alcohol. The Substance abuse counselors provide assessments, treatment planning, individual, and group counseling to adults, adolescents, and their families. VASAP services are provided by LSATPs.
ADHD Evaluations
Evaluations are completed for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder by licensed clinicians. Clients participate in three sessions (an intake interview to gather important information, a second session to conduct computerized testing using the TOVA (Test of Variables of Attention), and a third session to discuss results. Clients are given rating scales in order to obtain teacher and parent input, if applicable. Clients participate in additional testing during the second session to rule out other potential diagnoses or determine the need for additional testing. Cost: $650.00. Additional testing may be ordered at the rate of $150 per hour
Immigration Evaluations
Licensed clinicians conduct evaluations requested for immigration purposes. Two 1.5 hour sessions are required. Clients participate in a clinical interview and are given multiple assessments to complete. An extensive report is provided. Spanish speaking therapists are available upon request. Cost: $1,500.00
Community Based Trainings
Day Care Trainings: Trainings are offered by licensed professional counselors with experience working with children and teachers in child care centers, schools, social service agencies, and in clinical settings. All trainers have Master’s Degrees in Counseling. Trainings can be used to satisfy the annual training requirements needed for each staff member in order to maintain licensure as a child care provider/Child Care Center. Trainings cost $20 per person. Reduced rates, of $18 per person, are offered for groups of 10 or more. For each training, there must be a minimum of 5 people registered. LPC Trainings

Supervision
Virginia LPC Supervision trainings: Dr. Preston-Josey provides trainings in supervision to meet the requirement of 20-hour CEUs to become an approved supervisor for Virginia LPCs and LMFTs. Parenting Classes
Parenting Classes are offered on a regular basis. Our classes are designed to give parent’s the skills and tools needed to handle the challenges associated with parenting and/or co-parenting. Our classes help to encourage healthy relationships and nurturing the relationship that the children have with both parents.
