Licensed Professional Counselor
Chara is a licensed professional counselor with a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Regent University. She also holds the distinction of being a National Certified Counselor and Qualified Mental Health Professional through the National Board of Counseling. Chara served in the Law Enforcement field for ten years before making the switch to becoming a full-time counselor. She has a passion to help those in the first responder field find peace from the day-to-day traumas they experience while in that career.
She also holds a place in her heart for women as they struggle to become mothers; however, their journey looks whether it’s natural conception, fertility struggles, or loss. She also specializes in Post Partum Depression and Anxiety and enjoys supporting mothers as they adjust to balancing life and motherhood.
She uses an eclectic approach to help those with trauma, anxiety, depression, PTSD, and C-PTSD find a way to break free from memories. Chara loves to engage with clients using a Person-Centered approach to support them in their own personal voyage and life experiences, both positive and negative. She applies humor in her session and strives to create a safe space for clients to share freely without judgment or fear. Chara looks forward to coming alongside and supporting you in your journey, however it may look!
