
Resident in Counseling and Provisional Registered Art Therapist
Kathryn (Katy) earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Bridgewater College and her master’s degree in art therapy and counseling from Eastern Virginia Medical School. She is a resident-in-counseling and a provisional registered art therapist in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Katy has experience working with children on the autism spectrum from non-verbal to fully verbal. During her internships, she also worked with patients diagnosed with terminal illnesses. She has been trained in grief and bereavement counseling working with all ages from preschoolers to adults. Katy has knowledge of anxiety and mood disorders. She has led both grief groups and anxiety groups. Katy is looking forward to working with clients of all ages from preschool, children, adolescents, and adults.
