What is therapy actually like?

Therapy is a collaborative, confidential space where you discuss your goals and challenges with a licensed professional. Sessions are typically conversational, non-judgmental, and focused on helping you develop actionable coping strategies.

Is therapy completely confidential?

Yes, therapy is strictly confidential under HIPAA guidelines. Your information cannot be shared without your written consent, except in rate legal circumstances where a therapist is mandated to report a risk of harm to yourself or others.

How long are sessions and how often do we meet?

Standard individual sessions usually last between 45-60 minutes. Most clients begin by meeting weekly or bi-weekly. We offer both in-person and virtual appointments.

How long will I need to be in therapy?

The duration of therapy is highly individualized. Some clients find short-term, solution-focused therapy helpful for specific crisis, while others prefer longer-term support for deeper, ongoing personal growth.

What if my therapist isn't a good fit?

A strong, comfortable connection is vital for successful therapy. If you feel the personality or clinical fit isn't right, please reach out to our intake coordinator who can discuss other therapists who may be a better fit for what you're looking for.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes, we accept insurance for most of our offered services. Check out our Rates & Insurance page for more information.

What is your cancelation policy?

Appointments must be canceled at least 24 hours before the scheduled start time. Appointments on Monday must be canceled by end of business day of the preceding Friday. Any late cancelations or no-shows may incur a fee.
